10.Transparent House
This strange house is located in Japan. If you think you have no secrets and have nothing to hide, try living in this house. If you constantly wish your house had more daylight – this is the house for you. However, this house offers no privacy. The house is not only transparent, but the rooms aren’t isolated either. There’s no conventional walls in the building. In most houses each room is separated from the other by walls and a door. In this house, the main idea was to make the whole house be connected. The designer behind the idea wanted to emulate the style of living in a tree, like our ancestors. Of course, the house looks nothing like a tree, but thanks to it’s design you are able to see and hear through it, like you would be able to see through the branches of the tree. It also gives you an opportunity to see everything that’s happening outside, all the time.
