4.Cubic Houses
These houses, shaped like cubes are the result of a new building design in the Netherlands. The architect, Piet Blom, designed these houses to be very efficient. The basic idea is that all houses are usually cubes, but you could save a lot of space on the ground if you tilt the cube 45 degrees. These houses are build really close together, and are all shaped like cubes, standing on a hexagon pylon. By building these houses in Rotterdam, they created a small village inside a city. Each house is supposed to represent a tree and all together they represent a forest. These houses get so much attention from tourists that one of the people who lives in a cubic house even decided to earn money by showing people what his home looks like on the inside.
